Terms of Service

FishIQ, last updated 25 June 2026

These terms govern your use of the FishIQ app and website. By using FishIQ you agree to them. Questions: dmccuk@gmail.com. See also our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

FishIQ lets anglers log catches, auto-capture conditions, and view analytics, maps and community insights. We provide it "as is" and may change or discontinue features.

2. Your account

You're responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old to use FishIQ.

3. Your content

You own the catches, photos and information you add. By marking a catch Public, you grant FishIQ a licence to host and display it (and your public profile) within the app's community features. You can change a catch to private or delete it at any time. Don't upload content you don't have the right to share, or anything unlawful, offensive or misleading.

4. Fishing licences & responsibility

FishIQ does not grant any right to fish. You are solely responsible for holding a valid rod licence (in England & Wales, an Environment Agency licence from gov.uk/fishing-licences) and any permission, day ticket or membership required for the water you fish. Always follow local rules, byelaws and close seasons, and fish safely and responsibly, at your own risk.

5. Recommendations are guidance, not guarantees

The FishIQ Score, AI fish identification, and any insights or recommendations are estimates for guidance only. We don't guarantee their accuracy or any fishing outcome.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no scraping, reverse engineering, attempts to access others' data, or interfering with the app's operation or other users.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, FishIQ is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app, reliance on its data, or your fishing activities. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Termination

You may stop using FishIQ and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date will change. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
